Job Details

Reporting to the Director, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), the Senior Manager, HEOR is responsible for leading the implementation and execution of scientifically rigorous, high-quality, and timely economic models for submissions to Canadian Health Technology Assessment (HTA) agencies, private and federal/provincial payers. The role will also work closely with the various functions of the Innomar consulting team to support our clients’ market access and pricing strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of end-to-end health economic models, including drafting model plans, de-novo building or adapting of models, sourcing local data, model validation and producing supporting materials (technical reports etc.)

  • Manage and mentor direct reports and provide ongoing technical coaching to develop and upskill team members to ensure continuous professional growth.

  • Provide high-quality, timely, strategic solutions to meet client needs

  • Help identify evidence gaps and plan/conduct activities (e.g. conduct interviews with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), collaborate with researchers, conduct literature search) to support model inputs.

  • Liaise with the client lead for HEOR regarding project management, strategy, budget, and communications.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to generate business success and support team objectives.

  • Ensure project plans are met with clear timelines, deliverables, and guidance to ensure on-time and on-budget completion.

  • Maintain expert-level understanding of Canadian HTA requirements and evolving payer needs, integrating them into the team’s economic modeling approaches.

  • Oversee multiple aspects of consultation work, including contributing to strategic positioning, evidence generation, managing client relationships, attending external meetings and consideration of crucial factors within and outside of HEOR.

  • Support business development by contributing to proposals based on client requests and participating in internal discussions and client capabilities presentations.

  • Build and maintain professional networks to profile Innomar’s services, capabilities, and expertise in the healthcare industry.

  • Enhance Innomar’s brand recognition through strategic client communication, relationship management, and industry engagement.

Education:

  • Master’s degree in public health, clinical epidemiology, health economics or a health science-related discipline

Work Experience:

  • Experience in the consulting environment, managing multiple client deliverables preferred.
  • Previous health care-related research experience.
  • Previous people management experience.
  • Bilingualism, French/English is an asset.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Previous work experiences in research settings
  • Strong project management and coordination skills
  • Expertise in HEOR concepts as well as epidemiologic study design and analysis
  • Ability to conduct advanced programming of economic models using Microsoft Excel including Visual Basic for Applications
  • Familiar with literature search and literature review process
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work closely with internal team members and external clients.
