Senior Structural Analysis Engineer

What will you be doing?

We are seeking a Senior Structural Analysis Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team supporting the design and assessment of complex mechanical components. This role focuses on performing advanced structural analysis and fracture assessments, ensuring the integrity and reliability of high-performance systems. You will work independently on ongoing stress and structural tasks, providing expert analysis and guidance to the engineering team.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Conduct detailed structural analysis using finite element tools such as Abaqus or Ansys.
• Perform pressure vessel and defect tolerance (fracture) assessments to evaluate component integrity.
• Independently manage and deliver ongoing stress and structural tasks.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret results and provide actionable recommendations.
• Contribute to improving analysis methods and processes within the team.

Experience, skills and qualifications required:

• Extensive experience in finite element analysis (FEA), particularly using Abaqus or Ansys.
• Proven expertise in pressure vessel and defect tolerance assessments.
• Senior-level capability to work independently and manage complex stress analysis tasks.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and structural engineering principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrable experience in advanced structural analysis and fracture assessment.
