Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Grant Manager / Project Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for overseeing grant management processes and project coordination within our clinical research department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in grant writing, project management, and a thorough understanding of clinical research practices.
 
What You'll Be Working On
Duties include but not limited to:
·         Lead the full development grant cycle from pre-award to post award.
·         Oversee the research, proposal drafting, and application submission for funding opportunities.
·         Manage grant budgets, tracking expenditures, and ensuring compliance with funding requirements.
·         Collaborate with researchers to align grant proposals with project objectives and institutional priorities.
·         Monitor grant timelines, deliverables, and reporting requirements to ensure compliance and successful grant outcomes.
·         Establish and maintain relationships with funding agencies, partners, and stakeholders to support grant activities.
·         Lead development of reporting packages which are internal and external facing.
 
Project Management:
·         Develop project plans, timelines, and milestones in collaboration with research teams and stakeholders.
·         Coordinate project activities, resources, and budget allocations to meet project goals and deadlines.
·         Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
·         Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members, sponsors, and external partners to drive project outcomes.
·         Prepare project reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders, including funding agencies and regulatory bodies.
 
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
·         Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, ethical standards, and institutional policies throughout the project lifecycle.
·         Conduct regular quality assurance checks to maintain data integrity, protocol compliance, and research standards.
·         Implement best practices in research management, documentation, and reporting to uphold quality and transparency in research activities.
Physical and Travel Requirements
·         This is a remote position with less than 10% travel requirements. Occasional planned travel may be required as part of the role.
 
What You Bring
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
·         Demonstrate proficiency in reviewing data, constructing frameworks for reporting, and adeptly packaging data for external presentation.
·         Strong knowledge of clinical research processes, grant writing principles, and funding mechanisms.
·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
·         Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana) and grant management software.
·         Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
·         Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) and familiarity with clinical trial regulations (e.g., GCP, ICH) preferred.
·         Strong analytical skills and leadership skills
 
Certifications/Licenses, Education, and Experience:
·         Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., life sciences, public health, healthcare administration) required. Master's degree preferred.
·         Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in grant management and project management within a clinical research environment.
