Job Description:
As a Senior Naval Ship Design Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of naval architects and engineers in the design and development of naval ships. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in naval architecture, ship design, and project management. This is a 6 month contract to hire and is fully remote, Secret clearance required.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of naval architects and engineers in the design and development of naval ships, including surface combatants, submarines, and support vessels.
- Manage the entire ship design process, from concept development to detailed design and production support.
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, and shipbuilders to ensure design requirements are met.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, classification society rules, and industry standards.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Review and approve design drawings, specifications, and reports.
$100,000 - $180,000 a year
