Job Description

The Engineering Agility Lead Consultant plays a pivotal role in enhancing Nagarro's global Agile Quality Consulting practice by driving technical agility and advancing our portfolio in agile product engineering. This role demands a deep understanding of the software delivery lifecycle, emphasizing efficient and effective delivery practices that align with modern, agile methodologies and the specific needs of our clients' organizations.

Responsibilities include acting as a strategic consultant to clients, offering expertise to modernize their software delivery processes and improve their architectural practices. While knowledge of specific practices such as Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) is beneficial, the consultant's primary focus is on applying a broad and holistic view of the software delivery lifecycle to develop tailored, impactful solutions.

The Engineering Agility Lead Consultant will also drive the development of new service offerings and thought leadership within the technical agile space. This involves collaborating closely with a team of technical agile consultants and specialists across our global business unit for Accelerated Quality & Test Engineering with the enhancing our consultancy's market presence and effectiveness.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Drive and own the technical agility and engineering excellence consulting portfolio within Nagarro.
  2. Lead efforts to broaden the company's offerings in agile product engineering practice (including emerging architectures, DDD (Domain Driven Design), BDD/TDD, shift-left and modern digital product engineering practices, Infrastructure as Code, etc.).
  3. Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing guidance and expertise in modernizing their software delivery processes with a technical focus.
  4. Collaborate with the current team of technical agile consultants to further develop thought leadership and service offerings in the technical agile space.
  5. Engage with clients to understand their technical challenges and requirements, and propose tailored solutions to address them.
  6. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in technical agile methodologies, and incorporate them into Nagarro's offerings and approach.
  7. Provide mentorship and coaching to both internal teams and clients’ teams to enhance their skills and understanding of agile methodologies, technical practices, and engineering excellence. This could include formal training sessions, workshops, and one-on-one coaching.
  8. Oversee the development and implementation of quality assurance metrics and processes to ensure that deliverables meet the highest standards.
  9. Work with teams to identify bottlenecks in the software development lifecycle and implement solutions to optimize workflows.

Qualifications

  1. Years of Experience: 9+ years
  2. Extensive experience in software development, with a strong focus on technical agility practices and DevOps methods and practices (e.g.  BDD, TDD, unified/hexagonal architecture, shift-left engineering, CI/CD & version control strategies, etc.).
  3. Experience in (re)designing legacy architectures to an unified/hexagonal architecture based on the principles of DDD together with the client in different kinds of collaborative workshops (e.g. Event Storming, Domain Storytelling, User Story Mapping, Example Mapping, etc.) and in developing migrating strategies for existing architecture incrementally applying proven architecture refactoring patterns.
  4. Proven track record of successfully driving technical excellence and modernizing software delivery processes through a structured approach (e.g. QPAM)
  5. Deep understanding of agile principles and methodologies, with a focus on the more technical aspects of software development.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with clients and internal teams effectively.
  7. Leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor others
  8. Prior experience as a leader in the space of software development, who shapes behaviours, practices and processes & can motivate change and improvement (e.g. CTO, Engineering Manager, …)
  9. Experience in developing thought leadership and service offerings in a technical consulting context.
  10. Curiosity  and willingness to broaden their horizon and act as a T-shaped, multi-disciplinary expert, modelling agile thinking and behaviour.
  11. Fluency English language, German fluency is a plus.

Gross monthly salary depending on qualifications, experience and salary model between € 6.000,- and € 7.500,-.
