Your Impact
As the Vice President of Content Practice Professional Services, you will lead the professional services technical team responsible for all content technologies, including content, architecture, ecosystems, and verticals practices. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Professional Services and serving as a crucial member of the senior leadership team, you will shape the strategic vision and implementation of solutions in the Content practices. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of best-in-class, cost-effective solutions while managing customer escalations and driving additional implementation efficiency through automation and off-shore resources. You will play a pivotal role in making OpenText a world-class provider of Professional Services, providing counsel, managing projects and customers, and developing compelling thought leadership.
What the Role Offers
- Strategic Leadership: Lead the delivery of technical solutions for professional services projects, providing strategic vision for how OpenText delivers solutions in the Content practices.
- Resource Management: Ensure an optimal resources model including onshore, offshore, and 3rd party resources, driving revenue conversion and margin while managing external consultants' quality and deliverables.
- Financial Oversight: Forecast and take responsibility for the P&L of the practice, ensuring best-in-class cost-effective solutions and managing bid review and cost estimates for projects.
- Desired Outcomes: Take ownership of the Content practice from a technical perspective, driving revenue conversion, margin, and creating intellectual property. Implement global thought leadership initiatives, enhance communication with OpenText customers and consultants, and mitigate risks proactively.
- Ideal Experience: Bring extensive experience and passion for delivering complex software professional services, along with technical knowledge of digital transformation professional services. Demonstrate leadership and organizational skills with distributed teams, managing complex requirements and customers, and evaluating 3rd party implementations for success.
What You Need to Succeed
- Experience: Extensive experience managing global and remote teams for professional services on enterprise software solutions, with a track record of successfully planning, implementing, and delivering solutions to Fortune 500 companies.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrated technical leadership and gravitas, with the ability to work with customer-escalated contacts at the Vice President to C-level—experience managing complex projects and teams and organizing resources from internal technical practices and 3rd parties.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively work across EMEA and US time zones.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to identify, retain, and grow talent required for successful website development and maintenance.
