We are seeking a Proposal Manager to join the Growth Management & Strategy team at Energy Solutions. In this role, you will learn about and contribute to business development efforts and competitive proposals across all consulting departments. You will work with an incredibly talented, collaborative team and be part of what goes on behind the scenes of business development. 

In this role, you will facilitate the entire proposal development process, from pre-RFP planning, through proposal development, to contract award. You will work closely with proposal writers, technical subject matter experts (SMEs), and external partner organizations to develop and deliver high-quality, winning proposals. You will participate in pre-RFP positioning activities and prepare winning proposal strategies. You will also lead post-submission activities including interview preparation Candidates should have demonstrated experience in proposal management, excellent communication, organization and teamwork skills. 

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Manage proposal processes from pre-RFP planning through award
  • Uphold proposal development process and deliverables schedule
  • Organize and lead cross-functional teams during the entire proposal process
  • Identify potential opportunities for graphic input and data visualization
  • Coordinate approvals for pricing and any exceptions or deviations
  • Manage and track communication with partner organization(s)
  • Manage multiple proposals simultaneously as well as other projects
  • Manage processes for Contracts Services, Marketing, IS, ESJ, and other internal support teams
  • Provide administrative and analytical support including maintaining and organizing SharePoint sites, Slack channels, and Salesforce. Develop and run reports using these systems
  • Maintain and improve proposal processes and techniques

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • A minimum of 2 years relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: energy efficiency programs, demand response, distributed generation, utility program implementation and design
  • Demonstrated understanding of utility regulatory environments is highly desirable
  • Superior writing, research, and communications skills
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating collaborative efforts with subject matter experts
  • Uncanny attention to detail; results-driven; demonstrated success in meeting deadlines
  • Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with Slack, SharePoint, Salesforce, and Monday.com is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated

 

Salary DOE: $65,000 - $75,000/Annually 

 

Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous retirement package. Energy Solutions provides an excellent benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, other pre-tax contribution plans and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
