Interim leave of absence/ time off specialist required for a 6 month interim role (Fully Remote)

Zscaler Inc., is seeking an aspiring People & Culture EMEA benefits & leave of absence (LOA) professional looking to make a difference in the company’s EMEA and global LOA programs. In this fixed-term role, you will develop partnerships with key leaders and business decision makers within the organization to plan, develop, refine, implement, and administer world-class EMEA/global employee LOA/Time Off programs.

Reporting to the Head of Benefits, EMEA, you will play a major role in the overall employee experience from the moment an employee joins a company, to the moment they leave, and everything in between. You will play a key role in assessing and recommending LOA enhancements to keep Zscaler’s plans competitive to motivate and engage employees.

What you will be doing

• Drive process improvement projects to improve employee experience of LOA programs, supporting the launch of platform implementations, including Ceridian (DayForce) and Workday.
• Contribute to streamlining workflows and processing of LOA in partnership with Zscaler’s People and Benefit Operation Teams. 
• Participate in global benchmarking practices to assure Zscaler’s global leave offerings remain competitive and research offerings in new countries.
• Track and maintain metrics and dashboards related to utilization of leave programs.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for timely roll out of leave of absence programs.
• Work closely with internal business partners (Payroll, Operations, Finance, Compliance, HR and Legal) on the day-to-day administration of Zscaler’s benefit programs.
• SLA adherence for responding to employee leave requests and raising insurance claims relating to short and long term sickness and absence policies.
• Respond to and action employee requests/questions and resolving issues accordingly
• Compliance - ensuring time off requests and values are aligned to local statutory rules as well as any globally aligned top-up policies where Zscaler may enhance a leave type
• Administration of on-boarding new employees and throughout the employee life-cycle regarding benefit enrolment including leavers and off-cycle qualifying life events.
• On-board new benefit vendors or brokers working with internal legal team and benefit vendor acting as an intermediary
• Receive, check and provide payroll with relevant payroll reports each month by the required due date
• Administer the updating of relevant benefits after any employee salary changes
• Staying up to date with legislation changes and implementing benefit changes as necessary
• Organize and update materials based on changes to time off programs including updating the company intranet
• Drive communication initiatives to improve employee awareness and utilization of leave programs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience in HR/Benefits/Reward with leave of absence/time off experience
• Familiarity with payroll and benefits software systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong knowledge and experience with MS Office and Google equivalents (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Driven and with the enthusiasm to work in a fast-paced environment
• Proven ability in making sound decisions with minimal guidance
• Experience in a fast-growing technology organization, preferably SaaS product delivery
• Experience working in a global public company a plus
• Proven history of managing confidential information with utmost integrity
