This Manager, Project Management and Business Analysis, Digital Services Implementation role lives within the customer engagement arm of the Granicus’ Digital Services Implementation Team and is a key member of the Implementation Services (IS) Management team. This team helps customers (government agencies) create valued online services, and partners with customers to enhance the way that government organizations support their communities through strategic experience management. 

As a Manager within the Digital Services Implementation team, you will play a key role in managing project managers, implementation consultants and business analysts to successfully roll out projects across our customer base. This role is perfect for an individual with a passion for helping customers reach their strategic objectives, while also mentoring staff in their current roles.

What your impact will look like:

    • Supervise the project management and business analytic team supporting multiple systems with responsibilities including work allocation, planning, performance evaluation, compensation, staffing and other duties as assigned. 
    • Provide strategic and tactical expertise as a trusted advisor to team members, customers, and other teams through coaching and mentorship ensuring implementations meet client specific missions and solve core challenges around digital services. 
    • Excellent client relationship skills with the ability to mitigate risk, deescalate tense situations, and bring solutions to the table that are a win-win for both client and Granicus. 
    • Look for opportunities to scale efficiencies and new ways of working across multiple projects and markets. 
    • Maintain proactive data driven approach to executing customer initiatives, anticipating needs, and guiding decisions that have a net positive impact to Granicus. 
    • Work closely with partner teams; drive business development initiatives through thought leadership; provide portfolio guidance and oversight; and meet and exceed customer satisfaction targets. 
    • Support team to improve and evolve ways of working when necessary. 
    • Serve as a sponsor for Granicus projects to facilitate escalations to mitigate risk and ensure project and client success. 
    • Advocate and evangelize "best practices" to ensure delivery team is providing long term success and value for Granicus clients. 
    • Provide direction and technical leadership on complex, high-impact projects and in all phases of the development and implementation process, ensuring essential procedures are followed. 
    • Serve as a program manager or subject matter expert as required on high visibility projects, while training/ upskilling junior project managers, implementation consultants, and/or business analysts. 
    • Have the ability and the drive to operate with a limited level of direct supervision. 
    • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy. 
    • Can act as subject matter expert to stakeholders and /or other team members. 

You'll love this job if you have:

    • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in program/project management, preferably in a customer-facing role. 
    • Minimum of 5+ years in a consulting environment (preferred), within-depth experience managing shifting priorities. 
    • 5+ years of people managementexperienceor 5+ years leading teams to meet stakeholder objectives. 
    • Experience implementing Software as a Service (SaaS) or other technical projects. 
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with clients (both internal and external). 
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks to ensure deadlines are met. 
    • Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis and trend analysis to identify opportunities and areas of improvement. 
    • Knowledge of project management tools, methodologies, and best practices. 
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. 
    • Ability to manage conflict and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization. 
    • Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage complex, multi-faceted projects. 
    • Proven experience in proactively gathering information about product performance, customer feedback, and market trends to identify areas of improvement and opportunities for growth. 
    • Solid understanding of Customer Relationship Management (CRM). 
    • Proactive and data driven. 
    • Demonstrate and ensure timely and thorough communication of strategy, deliverable status, and results. 
    • Have a proven ability to flex between the technical and business sides of your brain – engineers and cross-functional team members alike love to work with you. 
    • Can work with multiple cross-functional teams to build and evaluate business cases to support product investment decisions. 
    • Have excellent communications skills – listening, verbal, and written. 
    • Can drive your team’s success and are a self-starter. 

Preferred skills:

    • Are bilingual (English and French) – preferred. 
    • Have served as a program manager or manager for high-touch clients. 
    • Have worked in the public sector. 
    • Possess a Project Management Professional Certification or Equivalent.  
    • Have experience working with remote teams. 
    • Have experience with city/county level planning, and possess an understanding of land-use regulations, zoning laws, and enforcement strategies. 
    • Have previous experience with the AMANDA product.

    • Responsible for Granicus information security by appropriately preserving the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) of Granicus information assets in accordance with the company's information security program.
