Overview
LMI is seeking a highly motivated person to join our DHS Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) BioWatch Field Operations Team. A successful candidate will be a professional, highly organized, detail oriented self-starter who takes initiative and enjoys working in a fast paced, team oriented environment. The candidate must be able to obtain DHS Suitability. This position can be supported remotely. The candidate is expected to travel approximately 30%-50% of the time.
With the threat of transnational terrorism and ongoing development of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) by nations potentially hostile to the U.S., DHS has taken steps to integrate the full range of its radiological/nuclear, chemical, and biological threat detection programs. As the focal point for this effort, DHS CWMD Office requires consulting and program management support that can reinforce and better enable a more dynamic and operationally-focused DHS strategy.

Responsibilities
- Provides direct support to the BioWatch Director of Field Operations.
- Assists with the planning, coordination, and execution of special events.
- Assists with integration of new technologies including deployment and field testing of new technology, retrofitting current equipment, and end user training.
- Performs evaluations of Jurisdictional Field Operations teams and coordinates with the Quality Assurance program to adjudicate audit findings and identify improvements.
- Authors, edits and contributes to production of acquisition documents, reports, standard operating procedures, and briefings, etc.
- Interfaces with jurisdictional Field Operations teams.
- Provides technical assistance in reviewing program contracts and agreements at the direction of the Director of Field Operations.
- Provides input and assistance for program logistics and equipment sustainment.
- Travel up to 25%
Qualifications
- Bachelors in Management, Acquisition Logistics or a technical field related to organization mission.
- 6 years of related acquisition logistics or engineering experience.
- Ability to obtain DHS Suitability
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
