Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, businesses, and other entities.
- Conduct thorough tax research and analysis to support tax planning and compliance efforts.
- Assist clients in understanding and implementing tax strategies to achieve financial goals.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members on tax-related matters.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to address tax-related inquiries and issues.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate and timely tax filings.
- Participate in client meetings and contribute valuable insights on tax planning and optimization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax accounting, preferably in a CPA firm environment.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in tax software and MS Office suite.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
