Client Services Specialist

In this role you will support Employee Health & Benefits colleagues and clients in all aspects of administration and technical support through accurate, efficient, and timely responses to insurance transaction queries across the insurance life cycle.

Working under the umbrella of operations you will help drive the standardisation of processes and procedures, including driving timely and accurate production/processing of complex documents/information. You will provide legally compliant work to clients/insurers and enter accurate information into all Marsh IT Applications, enabling the delivery of analytical statistics. You will assist in upskilling non client facing operations colleagues with additional product and client knowledge.

We will count on you to:

  • Client/Member Policy Servicing and Management:
    • Ensure timely and accurate production/processing of client/member transactions and queries including but not limited to
    • Invoices and related policy documentation.
    • Premium and adjustment calculations and premium allocations.
    • Information and documentation for pre-renewal and broker meetings.
    • Draft policy wordings, endorsements and emails for Account Executives.
    • Renewal reports and insurance manuals as needed.
    • Maintain accurate and up to date records on all clients/members including policy information completeness.
    • Certificates of currency.
    • Peer reviews and annual audit check of reviews.
    • Assist accounts/finance with allocation queries as and when requested.
    • Current and outstanding documentation follow ups.
    • Document and make available to colleagues fund specific business rules and
    • processes.
    • Assist with client/member reporting and end-of-month reconciliations as required.
    • Email and telephone enquiries and other duties as may be required from time to time and directed by management.
  • Continuous Improvement Activities:
    • Suggest changes to business processes to improve processing efficiencies and/or team collaboration.
    • Identify system improvement opportunities for automation and raise with Team Leader.
    • Participate in testing of systems and/or system enhancements as required.
  • Relationship Building/ Team Collaboration
    • Support the achievement of high levels of client satisfaction through effective administrative support to Account Executive colleagues.
    • Adopt a one team approach to ensure all relevant tasks are completed.
    • Actively contribute to a positive, productive, and cooperative working environment; actively participate in team meetings and performance development initiatives.
    • Provide mentoring, technical guidance and support to other colleagues to build knowledge and capabilities across the wider Employee Health & Benefits operations and broking team colleagues.
    • Build and maintain effective working relationships with insurers, clients and internal colleagues.
  • Compliance
    • Possess a thorough understanding of all major classes of insurance which Employee Health & Benefits offers to its clients.
    • Possess a thorough working knowledge of all aspects of the Insurance (Agents & Brokers) Act, Insurance Contracts Act, Fire Services Levy, Stamp Duties, Worker's Compensation, and other relevant legislation.
    • Acquire and maintain an awareness of the client's business and insurance needs. noting all briefing information provided by senior servicing and broking managers.
    • Adhere strictly to the Company's Quality practices and other systems and procedures.
    • Maintain and share up to date knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, business rules, processes and practices; cooperate with internal/external audit reviews and represent Marsh on committees as required.
    • Maintain professional development activities.
    • Comply with Company policy for continuous professional development. Comply fully with the Company's Errors and Omissions avoidance policy.

What you need to have:

  • High School Certificate or equivalent
  • Minimum Tier 1 ANZIIF Broking License
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar client service/operational role, preferably in an insurance/life related field
