Experienced Data Systems Business Analyst

Summary

Your role in our mission

• Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates data/system business requirements for existing and new development.
• Documents detailed technical and business specifications, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify data files or systems
• For new client implementations, drafts the overall client process workflow in relation to HMS proprietary systems
• Creates project plans, leads project meetings and coordinates other project activities to ensure deadlines are met.
• Leads technical meetings with IT and business project team.
• Provides data mappings, user interface specifications, processing logic as per business requirements to the Developer.
• Communicates with users, developers and other team members.
• Tests development efforts and assists the client in user acceptance testing.
• Provides regular status reports to clients, developers, and management as needed.
• Mentors and coaches other Analysts on the team.
• Subject matter source within the department fostering staff knowledge expansion and development.

What we're looking for

• 6+ years related work experience, industry experience
• Experience with SQL, backed by strong SQL knowledge and experience with relational database systems required
• Experience leading a small team
• Experience training other Business Analysts
• Experience with various IT platforms and languages
