Job Overview
American Claims Management, part of Davies Specialty Programs, is looking for a Commercial Auto Claims Adjuster with 5 or more years of experience handling commercial general/auto liability claims. This position will handle and supervise complex and litigated liability claims in CA, KS, and FL.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Investigate and handle first and third party property damage claims of moderate to high complexity involving heavy-equipment and commercial vehicles.
- Manage and control risk for specialty risk clients in a variety of different business fields.
- Prepare detailed reports and recommendations to clients.
- Ability to interpret routine and complex policy contracts and coverage.
- Ability to plan, organize and establish priorities to maintain various responsibilities under critical deadlines.
- Attend meditations and settlement conferences as necessary.
- Direct and monitor defense counsel to settle litigated claims
- Provide monetary authority and strategy to counsel to ensure client’s money and claims are protected
- Knowledge of current case law, statutory law, DOI regulations, etc. that apply to claims practices and issues within the territory of operation.
- The ability to determine, evaluate, investigate and resolve claims
- Demonstrate sound analytical skills.
- Other duties as assigned
Experience and Qualifications
- 5 years’ experience handling commercial auto claims, TPA experience preferred
- Required licenses to be obtained in all states in which claims are handled, to be obtained within 60 days of hire
- Ability to manage complex claims at every angle including litigation, coverage, damage analysis, experts, reserving, subrogation and risk transfer
- Ability to prepare detailed reports and recommendations to clients.
- Ability to analyze and research legal and claim trends
- Ability to understand policies and strong reading, writing skills
- Multiple state adjuster licenses preferred

- Basic computer knowledge and skills required

Position Type, Work Environment and Physical Demands
This is a home-based, full time, salaried, exempt position that predominantly operates remotely from a professional home-based office environment routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, photocopiers, and scanners and requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk while working on a computer. While performing the duties of this job, the individual will be required to regularly hear and talk. This is a largely sedentary role requiring the ability to sit at a desk, reach outward, use a phone, have use of fingers to operate office equipment such as a keyboard, mouse, phone, printer, copier, and to reach above the head, bend, or stand as necessary.
